The Nigerian squad striker, Odion Ighalo have made a public report that he his retiring from International Football, that is he won’t be playing for the Super Eagles of Nigeria again. He made this known after a successful outing at African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2019 where the super eagles of Nigeria became 3rd with a bronze medal.
As at the time of this report, the former Watford and Shanghai Shenhua striker is one of the main contender for Golden Boat award, after he had scored amazing five goal for his country in the competition. The award will be decided after the final match is been played between Algeria and Senegal in Egypt.
News reaching Simplybestrend that Ighalo would have made his decisions public before the last match Nigeria played against Tunisia which made them the third in the competition but the Nigerian Coach, Gernot Rohr pleaded with him to make his decision made known till after the match.
